I know a lot of people know about this but when I actually watched it in full, I had goosebumps. Cannot beleive this was caught on tape. As a mother, I would do the same for my son- crazy stuff.
Wow, what an amazing video! I staerted to cry when I saw the baby was still alive...the power of a mother's love with back-up from the herd (aka the fellowship!)
Krista... I haven't had time to really read your blog, but a friend passed along your link to me. I am in recovery as well, and a mother of 2. I will read more and comment more, but check out my blog if you have time. Quick note: there are meetings that I go to where mom's bring babies, few people have a problem with it that I have seen. I personally would rather see a baby at a meeting than a mom drinking. Think about it, and talk to your sponsor or someone else in the program you know. One day at a time!! Eileen
WELCOME to BLOG LAND. So glad you are here. I look forward to reading more :) My blog is called Recovery Wino - ha! The most helpful thing for me in the beginning was knowing that I only had to not drink TODAY. And somehow, the next day would come and I'd be sober and it was good. I also kept sparkling water and dark chocolate on hand which helped with cravings. I'd put the sparkling water in a pretty wine glass. Good luck to you and I'll keep checking back on you.
I am 26 year old female whose got a five month old adorable baby boy and a baby daddy in jail. I am a college graduate who LOVED to party. I have a sick sense of humor, I talk really loud and fast and have made the decision to stop drinking everyday and get sober for real. Wish me luck!
